Ladakh, popularly known as mini Tibet, is indeed a land of monasteries and monks. This trip takes you through the sights and sounds of the mysterious Moon Land. Experience the richness of Ladakh.

01 DELHI
Full day s/s of Red Fort, Qutab Minar, Safdarjung Tomb, Humayun Tomb, Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid, India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhawan. Overnight at hotel.

02 DEL/LEH 3500 m
Arrival and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free to acclimatize to the altitude. Overnight at hotel.

03 LEH
Full day sightseeing of monasteries Shey, Tikse & Hemis. Shey, was the summer palace of the first king of Ladakh, built about 550 years back. It has the largest Buddha statue in Asia made of copper. We continue to Tikse which is 500 years old. It contains a three story high statue of Maitreya, the future Buddha. Also visit the Hemis monastery, the largest and one of the most important monastery in Ladakh.

04 LEH
Morning drive 5km to visit Oracle, then we drive 22km to Matho monastery, built in the first half of the 16th century. We drive to Stok Palace about 15 km from Matho. The Palace museum has on display fabulous period costume and jewellery of the royalty. The royal family still continues to live there.

05 LEH/LAMAYURU/ALCHI
Morning drive 120 km to Lamayuru monastery which is set amidst stark and dramatic mountains. Enjoy the spectacular landscape of Lamayuru. Drive back to Alchi 50km from Lamayuru, dating back to 11th century, well known for Kashmiri style wall painting. Overnight at hotel.

06 ALCHI/LEH
Drive to Rizong monastery. After one and half km walk we reach the completely Isolated monastery in the mid of the hills. It is hundred years old belonging to the Yellow Sect. Drive back to Leh enroute visiting Likir monastery which stands majestically on the hill with the future Buddha 23 m high besides it. It also houses a museum of Thankas and many other antiques. Overnight at hotel.

07 LEH/PHYANG/LEH
Drive 19 km to Phyang monastery, built in 16th century. Monastery belongs to Red Sect . It houses many statues, murals, old manuscripts and some old weapons. We drive back to Spituk monastery. It belongs to the Yellow Sect dating back to 14th century. Evening walk to the village to visit a Ladakhi kitchen.

08 LEH/TIGAR
Early morning drive up the Nubra valley , which takes us to the Khardongla pass (5470 m). The highest motorable road in the world. From here you will get the spectacular view of the Karakoram range. Drive down to the valley of Nubra crossing the Shyok river, we reach Tigar. Evening walk to the Samstanling monastery. It is a big complex of seven temples. Overnight at camp.

09 TIGAR
Drive about 50 km to Diskit monastery, which is about 700 years old and belongs to the yellow sect. From here we drive further to Hunder monastery for about 5 km. It has a huge impressive statue of Maitreya, the future Buddha. You can also see the double hump camel. In the evening we will visit the hot spring of Panamik. Overnight at Camp.

10 TIGAR/LEH
Early morning drive back to Leh through Khardongla pass. Overnight at hotel.

11 LEH
Morning free for individual activities. Evening witness the rich traditional cultural show .

12 LEH/DELHI
Transfer to the airport for Leh/Delhi flight . Overnight at hotel.

13 DELHI/DEPARTURE
Transfer to the international Airport and flight back.
