    Cycle Tour – Manali to Leh

    One of the most beautiful trails in India, hazard of altitude, bumpy roads and sheer cold, the Manali-Leh bike tour circuit is both challenging and highly rewarding cycling experience. At an average elevation of 13000 feet the 479 km route from Manali to Leh takes you through dramatic views of lush forested slopes to contrasting arid mountain deserts. Expect to cross, windy passes, finger numbing glacial streams and lonely villages perched on high hills. Plummeting valleys dotted with herds of sheep andgushing rivers are going to be constant companions to the exhilarating ride that awaits you.

    Day 02:DELHI TO CHANDIGARH

    Morning flight to Chandigarh and city tour.

    Day 03:CHANDIGARH TO MANALI

    Today you’ll begin the drive to Manali by mini bus.

    Day 04:ACCLIMATIZATION DAY IN MANALI (2000M)

    Time to explore the beautiful town of Manaliand try the cycles. Some great local sights include Hadimba Temple, Old Manali village, Manu Rishi temple and Vashishith village and hot water springs.

    Day 05:MANALI TO MARHI (3250M)

    Cycling begins today with a 1270m climb starting at 2000m. It's designed to be a short day as you'll still be acclimatizing. You’ll have the afternoon to relax and take in the view.

    Day 06:MARHI TO KEYLONG (3130M)

    Climbing another 666m up and over the famous RhotangPass (3975m). The panoramic view from RhotangPass is spectacular. After Rhotang Pass a fun, 35km downhill awaits all the way to Sissu. Thenanother 35km to ride to Keylong.

    Day 07:SISSU TO JISPA (3200M)

    After a good breakfast you'll start the day cycling through the picturesque Lahaul Valley to Jispa, by the Bhaga River. Today is a 55km ride.

    Day 08:JISPA TO ZINGZING BAR (4020M)

    A relatively easy day today as you'll be heading up to 4000m. The road from Jispa to Zingzing Bar goes past two beautiful glacial lakes. The perfect pit stop for some photography and chai.

    Day 09:ZINGZINGBAR TO SARCHU (4255M)

    First things first and we start the day with a climb up and over Baralacha La (4830m), past more glacial lakes to the border of Ladakh. The best bit about climbing Baralacha La is the downhill - 35km all the way to Sarchu where you'll stay in a permanent camp complete with attached bathrooms and toilets in each tent.

    Day 10: SARCHU TO TSO KAR LAKE (4650M)

    Today is a tough one: first you'll climb up and over the Gata Loops - this is the Himalayas version of Alp d'Huez - 21 turns up to Nakila La at 4885m. After a short descent, you'll back up and climb up and over Whisky Na La at 5019m. An easy downhill to finish off the ride to TsoKar Lake. After a well earned afternoon snack and shower you can visit the famous TsoKar village for yak milk tea and then the TsoKar Lake in the afternoon. This is a salt lake high in the Himalayas and if you're lucky you'll see wildlife such as kang (wild horses) and ibex.

    Day 11:TSO KAR LAKE TO LATO (3650M) – NEAR UPSHI

    Up and over Tanglang La 5360m, the second highest drivable road in the world. Another tough day but truly satisfying when you reach the top. After a rest at Tanglang La, there's an amazing 1200m descent of switchbacks to the village of Rumptse. The temperature begins to rise and you'll see more and more little villages as you head into Lato.

    Day 12:LATO TO LEH (3500M)

    Beautiful ‘butter road’ and village scenery into Leh! You'll ride through fertile farming land alongside IndusRiver dotted with pretty of villages and Stupas.

    Day 13: REST DAY

    A day free to explore or rest. A chance to explore Leh, climb up to the Palace or Monastery or just sit back and relax!

    Day 14:KARDUNG LA (5600M) (OPTIONAL CYCLING DAY)

    A 40km climb to Kardung La, the highest road in the world and return. The view from the top is spectacular, from the Indus valley in the South, the endless mountain peaks of the Zanskar range to the Saser Massif in the North. You can feel proud of a true achievement as you finish the trip with your final thrilling descent. A LOT of fun on the way down!

    Day 15:LEH TO DELHI

    A Morning flight to Delhi and onward flight to return.
